Start with Catcher In The Rye 从麦田里的守望者说起

Please forgive my poor English. I will try my best to translate this blog into English.

This blog’s name "Come To Tibet" is chosen from 33 names. After much consideration, we came up with this name, which made us very happy. "Come to" sounds like “Kang mu tu” in Chinese, with a meaning of rabbit.

We hope this happy rabbit will be our mascot. We plan to travel to Tibet by bicycle in May, 2008. This blog is used to record this tour. We will share our preparation for the tour, sights and sounds during the tour and our minds to all the friends.we once thought to use "Tibet Catcher" to name this blog.

Friends who have read the novel The Catcher In The Rye wrote by Jerome David Salinger may be familiar with this name. [PIC_01]

The word "Catcher" means a player in the American baseball game. [PIC_02]

While in Chinese, this word means "Watcher" rather than the special term in a game. I think it’s more accurate for the novel to be translated into "守望者", which means “watcher” in Chinese.

The translator has done a great job! You can imagine: the catcher stands in the field of rye on cliff, watching the kids playing in the rye to ensure that they won’t get close to the dangerous area. [PIC_03]
We simply thought that "Catcher" was a jackstraw in the rye. But we changed our mind after we understood its real meaning by Googling "Catcher" on the Internet. In a word, this name fits actual state of our mind. It's so popular that it has been used by many other blogs. But we have a better understanding with the help of Google.

Our blog is classified into the following categories:

西藏骑行记/Tibet Rider the main board, to record our tour from Sichuan to Tibet, with live broadcast.
西藏易事贴/ Tibet Easy Tab the assistant board, to record some information about Tibet from the internet and other materials.
西藏守望者/ Tibet Catcher the assistant board, to record our mind and thoughts from now on..

-33/OK-

如下图[PIC_03]:
